Welcome to Hopkins County

Located in the heart of Northeast Texas on Interstate 30 approximitly 70 miles East of Dallas and 100 miles West of Texarkana. Hopkins County is sandwiched between Lake Fork and Cooper Lake.

The County seat is located in Sulphur Springs. We have seven school systems: Sulphur Springs, Cumby, Miller Grove, Como, Saltillo, Sulphur Bluff and North Hopkins.

Hopkins County has more than 150 dairies, mostly family owned and operated, we are considered the Dairy Capitol of Texas.

Cows, camp, cooking, clothing....these are just a few of the "Learn by Doing" activities 4-H is all about! We look forward to Juli Hutchins joining our staff soon. You can find enrollment forms under Publications/Member Information.

"Do Well, Be Well with Diabetes"

This nine topic series is designed to help individuals have a better understanding of diabetes and more effectively control blood sugar through nutrition and self-care lessons.
